Legal Requirements
Requirements for Civil Marriage in Honduras:
Information provided by the Utila Municipality
1. Photocopy of the passport of 2 witnesses over 21 years, who can read and write and submit their original identities. No exchange of witnesses at the last minute.
2. Certified birth certificates of both parties; their names must match exactly as they appear in the passports.
3. Single Status Certification of if either party has been divorced, bring a certified copy of the divorce decree; their names must match exactly as they appear in the passports.
4. Certified HIV blood test.
5. Municipal fees and translation fees will be added when requested, for a legal marriage in Honduras.
