Meet the Girls
Sharon
Sharon has spent her life traveling and working in the hospitality industry. As General Manager for Canyon Marina's Resort in (Canyon Lake, Texas), she included wedding coordination and catering as part of her customer service plan. She ran Sharon's Wedding Service for 8 years in Costa Rica with a resort and private contacts requesting her services. Sharon has been coordinating weddings in Utila since 2007, and began Caribbean Wedding Girls with long-time friend Tina in 2008. Her experience as a florist (with her own greenhouse) allows her to create beautiful tropical arrangements for any wedding style.
Tina
In September of 2008, Tina with her husband JJ moved to the island of Utila. Shortly thereafter she and long-time friend Sharon established Caribbean Wedding Girls. Having her own wedding ceremony on the beach in Costa Rica sparked a passion in Tina to be part of this once in a lifetime day on a full time basis. Before coming to Honduras, Tina was a co-owner, researcher, and Naturopathic Physician in a successful Alternative Medicine clinic specializing in biodentical hormone therapy, anti-aging protocols, and the formulation of nutraceutical and botanical products. This facilitated years of travel to Costa Rica to conduct research.
